No one is covered until everyone is covered.
Let's protect each other.
Limit the spread of COVID-19 by making sure that everyone in Durham has face coverings and knows how and why to wear them.
Cover Durham was developed by a group of doctors and organizers who saw the urgent need to get face coverings to people during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our first project, Covering the Triangle, distributed over 40,000 free face coverings in the greater Triangle area through a network of community organizations.
Covering the Triangle prioritized people whose living or working conditions made social distancing difficult, and who already faced unjust health outcomes before the pandemic, including seniors, people in prisons and jails, unsheltered people, people in public housing, essential workers, and more.
Building on this work, Cover Durham was created with the support of local government, community organizations, universities, businesses, and residents.
Through advocacy, communication, and direct distribution, we want to make sure that everyone is covered, and help people to keep their communities safe.
